BIO

Ann Margaret Morris grew up in rural Pennsylvania and lives currently in Baltimore City. Her work consists of large scale charcoal drawings on paper. She holds a BFA from The Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and has recently completed the Extended Residency Program at Center Arts and Studios. For the last 12 years she has worked for the School of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. Her works were once shown at a friend’s bar in 2017. Everyone had a good time.      

ARTIST STATEMENT

My work meets the snarled natural world without nonsense. Realism and literalism provide a measure for effort, mastery, and craftsmanship. Human emotion handles the rest.
